Gluten Free Thanksgiving Recipes
Do you have trouble finding delicious gluten-free Thanksgiving recipes to wow your friends and family?
Sometimes it can be difficult to find gluten-free recipes that are easy to make and don’t have that ‘gluten free’ taste to them. If you have gluten-free guests attending your Thanksgiving feast, I challenge you to make the whole meal gluten free! Today I have rounded up my most popular gluten-free Thanksgiving recipes that you and your family will love.
Gluten Free Thanksgiving Recipes
Start your gluten free Thanksgiving meal off with my Roasted Butternut Squash Soup. It is thick, creamy and bursting with fall flavours. One of my favourite things to do on Thanksgiving is to go for a walk or a hike to enjoy the vibrant fall foliage. It is just so beautiful this time of year! Roasted Butternut Squash Soup is a comforting vegan soup that will warm you up after a chilly day admiring mother nature.
I know turkey is a Thanksgiving tradition, but if you have a super small oven or you are only entertaining a couple guests then Roasted Chicken and Veggies is the perfect solution for your gluten-free Thanksgiving meal. You can always stuff it with gluten-free bread and make gravy by adding some coconut flour or arrowroot powder to the drippings.
The traditional Thanksgiving sides are usually potatoes, peas, sweet potatoes and turnip in my family, but sometimes it is nice to add something fresh to the plate. If you want to add some green to your gluten free Thanksgiving meal, try my Sweet Autumn Salad. This salad has all of my favourite autumn flavours like roasted cinnamon butternut squash, dried cranberries, crisp apples, walnuts and dates. It is topped with a creamy Balsamic Maple Dressing that really brings the flavours together.
To finish off your gluten free Thanksgiving meal, you can enjoy Date Bliss Balls. These Date Bliss Balls are naturally sweetened and full of fiber which means that your guests won’t experience a sugar high followed by a sugar crash and pass out on the couch before the evening games begin. They are a fantastic make-ahead treat that will leave your guests feeling satisfied.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian readers!
