Virtual Wellness Experiences for Diabetes Awareness Month
November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and my virtual wellness experiences are the perfect way to raise awareness and support your team. They are designed to make healthy habits simple and sustainable. From understanding blood sugar balance and meal prepping tips to exploring nourishing seasonal foods, I’ll guide your team in staying energized, motivated, and healthy all season long.

With the temperature dropping and the leaves falling, it’s definitely starting to feel like winter is just around the corner. This is also the time of year when many people start to lose momentum with their healthy habits. Between cooler weather, comfort food cravings, and the holidays coming up, it’s easy to let nutrition and movement slide.
National Diabetes Awareness Month is a great reminder that balanced blood sugar isn’t just important for those with diabetes. It’s key for everyone’s energy, focus, and long-term health.

November Virtual Wellness Experiences
Sweet Balance: A Guide to Blood Sugar Management
November is Diabetes Awareness Month, so we are focusing on all things blood sugar balance! Diabetes is a very common disease, and nutrition plays a key role in managing blood sugar balance. In the colder months, it can be easy for us to fall back into those unhealthy habits. Things like eating processed foods with little to no nutrition, staying up late, quitting exercise, drinking alcohol, and many more. Learning about diabetes and blood sugar will help you realize how important it is to focus on balancing your blood sugar. Throughout this virtual wellness experience, you will realize that it is not so difficult after all!
Maintaining balanced blood sugar levels isn’t just important for those with diabetes. It helps prevent energy crashes throughout the day and can improve overall mood and cognitive function. When your blood sugar is stable, you are more likely to feel focused, energized and in complete control of your cravings. During this session, I will teach you how foods impact blood sugar and share science-backed hacks that allow you to enjoy sweet treats without spiking blood sugar levels. You will walk away with practical tools you can use daily to support sustained energy and long-term health.
November Cooking Class: Fall Flavours
In my opinion, fall has the best flavours for cooking. From pumpkin spice to roasted squash, caramelized apples, and toasted pecans, this season is full of rich, warming tastes. I am all about eating seasonally. Each season, I host complimentary cooking classes that highlight our beautiful, locally grown fruit and vegetables. These classes can be done in your kitchen alone, with friends and family, or can even be part of your November workplace virtual wellness experience.

Late Fall Recipes
In this interactive session, we will make both Curry Squash Soup and Pumpkin Hummus. These two delicious, fall-inspired dishes are as nourishing as they are flavourful. The soup features unique curry spices that bring warmth to the naturally sweet squash, leaving us with a creaminess that will keep you coming back for more. Meanwhile, the Pumpkin Hummus is a fun and festive twist on the classic dip. It combines fibrous chickpeas with pumpkin puree, a dash of cinnamon and a touch of sweetness! Both of these recipes are so easy to make, packed with nutrients. They are perfect for sharing at seasonal gatherings or enjoying a cozy family dinner at home. You will leave this session with practical cooking tips, new flavours, and two crowd-pleasing recipes to add to your fall favourites.
Slow down before the holidays
As we settle into November, it’s the perfect time to reconnect with yourself and your health. Whether you take part in one of my virtual wellness experiences to learn how to control your blood sugar to prevent disease, or my hands-on virtual cooking class to make two cozy fall dishes. Either way, you will leave either session feeling empowered to begin using those healthy habits. Wellness is about making small choices that honour your body’s needs and bring happiness to your daily routines. Let’s embrace this chilly season together. Let’s empower one another to stick with those wellness habits all winter long.
