Who is Holistic in the City?

Holistic in the City consists of my six closest friends who I met while studying to become Holistic Nutritionists. For two years, we spent countless hours learning, studying, supporting, sharing, and most importantly, eating together. This is an amazing group of ladies who I am so grateful to have met. The group includes Sarah BesterDanielle BinnsAlycia BromleyMandy KingJenn Parsons and Samantha Ushedo. We are so excited to release our first eBook 21 Day Smoothie Guide.

 

Why a book about smoothies?

We found that when we work with clients, often one of the first changes we make is to start incorporating smoothies into their diets. It is a small change that is easy to incorporate into a busy lifestyle that has an incredibly positive impact. People are always asking us for new smoothie ideas, so we wanted to create a 21 day smoothie guide with a variety of different ingredients and superfoods that offer various health benefits. I loved the variety of the recipes that were included. Of the 21 smoothies, I will now include 18 into my regular rotation. I was always surprised at how good the smoothies ended up tasting, given how many green veggies were included in them. It has been a great way to get some more veggies into a toddler who doesn’t always like veggies. I feel great when I start my day with a smoothie, however, I was really in a rut with my recipes. This book has introduced me to some new ingredients too…mostly gogi berries. Thanks!! I look forward to another recipe book to come soon!!
