Health and Wellness for Employees: Support Your Team this National Nutrition Month

March is here, and with it comes one of the most meaningful times to support the health and wellness of your employees. Created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, March is National Nutrition Month. This annual campaign is dedicated to helping people make informed food choices and develop healthy eating and physical activity habits. You might think that wellness and healthy eating are personal matters. The truth is that what your employees eat, and how well they nourish themselves, has a direct impact on your entire team and organization. Health and wellness for employees should be at the top of your mind this March.

This March, I am offering several educational and delicious team-building programs. Whether your team is working in the office, remotely, or a mix of the two, I have offerings designed to meet you where your team is at and fuel them for their best work!

Why Health and Wellness for Employees Matter More Than Ever

Today’s employees are juggling packed calendars and rising expectations. Even highly motivated teams are feeling the impact of constant stress, burnout and inconsistent levels of energy throughout the day. If your organization has been noticing any of the following, my nutrition and wellness education offerings may be exactly what your team needs:

  • Difficulty focusing and brain fog that slows decision-making and creative thinking
  • Increased sick days are pulling people away from important projects
  • Decreased productivity across departments and roles
  • Burnout and mental fatigue leave employees feeling depleted
  • Increased stress leaves costing your organization time and talent
The connection between nutrition and these challenges is stronger than you may think.

When employees are fueling their bodies properly with the right foods at the right times, everything changes. Energy levels stabilize, focus sharpens, mood improves, the immune system strengthens, and your team shows up consistently (both mentally and physically).

Investing in health and wellness for employees shouldn’t just be a ‘nice to have’ perk.

It’s a strategic business decision that reduces sick days, improves engagement, and builds a workplace where your team genuinely feels cared for. When your team feels good, they perform better and end up staying longer.

Understanding Macronutrients to Fuel Your Body

One of the biggest gaps in nutrition knowledge (even among health-conscious people) is simply understanding macronutrients. There is so much misinformation out there now in social media, news, etc. I cut that all out and get straight to the science-backed facts. Protein, carbohydrates and fats are so important to understand and getting the balance right can be genuinely life-changing!

In this engaging and informative workshop, I cover the basics of what macronutrients are, why they matter for your health, and how much of each your body actually needs. A little spoiler: nutrition is not one size fits all, and that’s why this conversation is so important for teams. I will also share delicious, practical recipes that make incorporating the right macronutrient balance into your everyday life feel easy and enjoyable, and less like a chore. Your team will leave with practical actions and knowledge that they can use immediately. Whether they’re meal prepping on Sunday or grabbing lunch between those back-to-back meetings.

Healthy Irish Pub Salad: A St. Patrick’s Day Team Celebration

Why not ce;ebrate St. Patrick’s Day as a team this year, with food that actually makes you feel fueled?

This vibrant Healthy Irish Pub Salad is a game-changer. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and nut-free, this dish is a nod to Irish traditions without compromising on nutrition. It brings together unexpected fresh pairings: beets, chickpeas, carrots and more, all mixed in a bowl that’s as beautiful as it is delicious!

This is an amazing opportunity to gather your team for a shared experience that sparks fun conversation and builds connection. It gives everyone something to look forward to that doesn’t include going out for team drinks (not that that’s not fun once in a while).

Team building through food is one of the most natural and memorable ways to enhance workplace culture.

This St. Patrick’s Day cooking class delivers exactly that! This class is designed to be fun, festive and completely accessible for all skill levels in the kitchen.

Quick and Easy Dinner and Dessert Cooking Class

This one is for the busy professionals who want to eat well but feel like they never have enough time, which, let’s be real, is most of us.

In this hands-on cooking class, I will guide your team through two incredible recipes: Miso Butter Salmon with Green Beans for dinner, and Almond Crispy Rice Squares for dessert. Both dishes are packed with nutrients, are satisfying and completely kid-friendly (little bonus!)

Having recipes that are kid-friendly means more than you think. When employees can bring wellness habits home, the impact strengthens! A parent who learns to make a quick, nutritious weeknight dinner doesn’t just benefit themselves. They are feeding their whole family well. That kind of care is what health and wellness for employees is truly about. It is about supporting the whole person and not just the nine-to-five version of them. This class is energizing, practical, and leaves your team with recipes they will use again and again.
